Dual Core Delight ! XENON Nitro Z3 review
25th September 2006
Matt Tyszkiewicz form MONKEYLABS reviewed the XENON Nitro Z3 visual workstation in the September 2006 edition of Digital Media World.Below is a synopsis of the article. For the full story please refers to the attached PDF.
"XENON supplied a system with the NVIDIA QuadroFX 5500 with 4GB of DDR2 RAM. This is a blazingly fast graphics machine. This computer does not think, it just does it. I have never worked on anything this fast before, although the $6000 cost of the graphics card (which takes up two slots) is something to consider. Also the fact that you could potentially run two of them in tandem via SLI!
As it was running Win XP 32-bit it would only recognise 2.75GB of RAM. The whole 4GB would have been nice for working in digital fusion. No matter what I threw at it, we could not bring this machine to its knees. .It has so many USB 2.0 ports I lost count.
Performance wise, it is amazing."
