The XENON team is committed to supporting our customers across Australia while keeping everyone in our community safe as we re-open here at the end of 2021.

The XENON team continue to provide support, production and supply of high performance computing as we always have – with the addition of COVID safe work practices. The XENON office and production facility has remained open in Melbourne throughout the various lockdowns and restrictions.

We abide by all government directives in the States and Territories we operate in and have been able to provide critical support, both on-site and remotely, to keep our customers’ systems running. We also have an extensive network of support contractors in other States to support our customers across Australia and have been able to work within the bounds of the travel bans and border closures.

Be confident that whatever your IT requirements in this time, you can count on the XENON team to be there for you.

Services & Support

Many of our customers are at the forefront of medical research and health science and COVID-19 has obviously created a tsunami of work for them. If you are in this field and need burst capacity or additional infrastructure support, contact us today – we have many options available and will tailor a solution for your needs.

We have ramped up our Managed Services in response to customer’s requirements, and the team is working diligently to support increased demands on our customer’s infrastructure. Recent projects include designing and orchestrating cloud workloads, testing DR, redundancy and resiliency of systems. All of this work is done remotely, and we’re here to assist you with any of these requirements, just reach out to your account manager or get in touch via our website.

Our production facility in Melbourne is still humming with new servers being built and burned in on a daily basis. Our new production room that was finished in January 2020 allows plenty of room for the team to spread out and maintain social distancing while building new servers and storage systems. The supply chain and international freight is largely back to normal after some disruptions in March and April.

Supply shortages and freight issues have seen lead times for IT componentry blow out to months recently. The XENON procurement team has been able to adapt and by being flexible in our approach to builds, we are able to minimise lead times. We recommend that you lock in purchases as early as possible to lock in prices, as the current shortages are also driving up costs. We will continue to work with our vendor partners and will adapt to any changes as they arise.

The Sales Team

The XENON sales team continues to be very busy, with new solutions being architected and proposed in more virtual meetings and online conferences. Most of us have been working flexibly and remotely for years, so this is just another day in the (home) office for us.

We are continuing to support and work with all our customers and finding low risk ways to work and collaborate online. The health of our customers, staff and community are foremost in our minds as we navigate the changes COVID-19 brings.

Head Office Remains Open

Physical office hours remain the same currently, 9am to 6pm with a number of the team required to work from the office in attendance, and we are all contactable on phone and email as always.

XENON will strictly enforce current restrictions and guidelines as mandated. If you need to visit the office to pick up equipment or for a meeting, these COVID safe controls may include sign-in and temperature check on arrival, verification of vaccine status, mask wearing on premise, and strict limits to numbers on individuals in specific areas. If you do not abide by the COVID safe controls as implemented by XENON you will be required to leave the premises immediately.

Innovate and Adapt

XENON Systems is as committed as it has been for over 25 years to provide the best high performance compute, networking, storage, cloud solutions and outstanding services. The nature of an IT business over the past 25 years is one of continual innovation and adaptation.

COVID-19 has changed how and where we work, but it has not changed why we work. It has not changed our optimism and belief that technology has a positive impact in the world. Even in these challenging days, we see opportunities for innovation and have doubled down to deliver great new solutions that make a difference for our customers and communities.

We are here ready to assist you to innovate and adapt in the current environment.

As we all work together to bring COVID under control in Australia, we hope you, your team, and your family stay safe.
