  • Acknowledge and respect the historical and ongoing Aboriginal connection to country through cultural and spiritual sites, language and ceremony.
  • Engage in meaningful, open and honest consultation and ensure conduct is respectful, patient and in good faith.
  • Understand that Indigenous leaders must consult with their community on important matters and that this may take time.
  • Ensure our employees and contractors have appropriate cultural awareness and are aware of their obligations towards the protection of cultural practices and Indigenous relationships.

Where possible, XENON seeks to use indigenous supply chains and service providers. Through close collaboration and partnerships, XENON works with Indigenous Institutions/Communities to digitally preserve cultural heritage.

XENON will provide cultural awareness training for all employees to ensure they understand and respect Indigenous cultural practices, protocols, and sensitivities. We recognise that cultural knowledge is diverse and specific to local communities, and we commit to seeking guidance from appropriate Indigenous representatives.

XENON recognises that face-to-face communication is often preferred by Indigenous communities. We commit to utilising culturally appropriate communication methods, including community meetings and individual conversations with key knowledge holders and community members.

XENON will regularly review and evaluate our Indigenous engagement practices, seeking feedback from Indigenous stakeholders to continually improve our approach and strengthen our relationships with Indigenous communities.
