Top Researcher Breakfast — NVIDIA × VAST Data × XENON
The week began with the Top Researcher Breakfast, co-hosted with NVIDIA and VAST Data, bringing together leading academics and research technologists from across Australia’s universities and institutions. Over coffee and conversation, guests explored how to accelerate AI research while balancing scale, performance and sovereignty.
It was a morning rich with practical ideas — from optimising GPU-accelerated pipelines for large language models to unlocking next-generation storage architectures for data-intensive workloads. A true meeting of minds between those building the infrastructure and those pushing its limits.
NVIDIA AI Day Sydney 2025
Held at ICC Sydney, this year’s NVIDIA AI Day drew more than 1,200 attendees — a fully sold-out celebration of innovation and applied AI. Across keynotes, breakout sessions and hands-on demos, the event showcased how agentic AI, AI factory architectures and physical AI are transforming industries from research to robotics.
For XENON, it was a chance to connect directly with Australia’s AI builders — from start-ups to enterprise teams — exploring how high-performance infrastructure can empower them to train, deploy and scale with confidence. The atmosphere was electric: equal parts learning, discovery and genuine excitement about where AI is heading next.
XENON × NVIDIA Social
To close the week, we hosted the XENON × NVIDIA Social, co-sponsored by VAST Data and Supermicro. The evening brought together customers, researchers and partners for an informal night of connection and celebration.
Beyond the conversations and camaraderie, it was a reminder of what drives this community — a shared commitment to innovation, excellence and collaboration. The relationships built at events like this lay the foundation for the breakthroughs still to come.
