XENON announces two new NITRO GPU server models – the NITRO G29A and the NITRO GX49A.
Both models are built with the latest PCIe Generation 4 technology, delivering up to 32GB/s unidirectional bandwidth, double the performance of PCIe Gen3. This bandwidth increase is important to make the most of the new NVIDIA A100 cards which are PCIe Gen4, as well as new NVME PCIe Gen 4 memory options.
The combination of the latest AMD EPYC 7002 processors, PCIe Gen4, and NVIDIA A100 will see your workloads accelerated by up to 20x as you harness the power of the the new Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) feature of the NVIDIA A100’s.
XENON NITRO G29A
The G29A features a single AMD EPYC 7002 with 64-cores and 128 threads. The G29A can be built with up to 2TB of RAM, and can support up to 4 GPUs in a slim 2 RU profile. While optimised for the NVIDIA A100, the NITRO G29A can also be built for you with the NVIDIA V100 and NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs as determined by your workload.
The G29A also features 8 hot-swappable drive bays which support either 2.5″ or 3.5″ form factor drives, with a maximum of 4 x NVMe drives across the 8 bays.

XENON NITRO GX49A
The GX49A features a dual AMD EPYC 7002 with 64 cores and 128 threads. The GX49A can be built with up to 8TB of RAM, and can support up to 8 GPUs in its 4 RU chassis. The GX49A is optimised for the NVIDIA A100, and can also be configured with the NVIDIA V100 and the NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs.
The GX49A can also be configured with NVIDIA NVLINK Bridge, which provides a high speed interconnect between two of your NVIDIA GPUs. With NVIDIA A100’s this allows you to maximise flexibility and agility in your compute as you make use of the Multi-Instance GPU feature of the A100’s and slice these into 7 vGPU instances each or combine across two A100’s for the equivalent processing power of 14 vGPU instances. Under testing, each vGPU of the A100 delivers a compute performance similar to the V100.
The GX49A also features room for up to 24 hot-swapable 2.5″ drives and can support up to 4 x 2.5″ NVMe drives for maximum performance, uptime and flexibility.
