XENON is proud to announce the third generation of overclocked XENON eXtreme HFT servers are now available!
Engineered and built by the XENON team, the eXtreme server range delivers consistent overlocked speed and low latency performance 24 x 7. Ideal for high frequency trading (HFT) environments, these compact 1RU servers are bedrock of trading firms globally. The third generation delivers refinements to the CPU and motherboard and overclocked speed increases, while retaining the reliability, stability and performance that the XENON eXtreme range is known for in exchanges and trading houses around the world.
10th Gen Intel Core i9 Processors
The latest XENON eXtreme servers are built on the latest 10th generation Intel Core i9 processors – specifically the “Comet Lake” i9-10900K, and the “Cascade Lake” i9-10900X and i9-10980XE. The XENON engineering team has chosen these CPUs for their balance of reliable overclocked performance and core counts. As with all XENON eXtreme HFT servers, the off-the-shelf CPU is the starting point, and the XENON engineers then develop a customised BIOS which will deliver consistent, reliable, stable overclocked performance.
New Chassis and Liquid Cooling
Key to reliable and stable overclocked performance is managing heat. the XENON engineering team obsesses over all details of heat management. For the third generation XENON eXtreme HFT servers, the XENON liquid cooling heat exchange has been coupled with new high speed fan systems to deliver the best in airflow and heat management to improve overall reliability.
Extensively Tested
All XENON eXtreme servers are extensively tested in our manufacturing and R&D facility in Melbourne, Australia. Delivering a reliable overclocked server is more than just tweaking the CPU. XENON builds stability and reliability in our eXtreme HFT server line by complete end-to-end system design and testing. Throughout the design and development phase the XENON engineering team extensively test all components as complete systems. The testing includes load testing, networking, and of course heat stressing as we run the servers in our test environment at above normal data centre temperatures to really put them through their paces.
With the finished designs and componentry all tested, we further burn in and test of each server for up to ten days of continuous operation before they are shipped. This ensures that the XENON eXtreme HFT server range will perform to the designed overclocked speed with the lowest latency each and every day.
Three New Models
The third generation XENON eXtreme HFT Servers are available in three new models:
- RX990i G3: 10 Cores, 5.3Ghz with 20MB L3 Cache.
- RX993i G3: 10 Cores, 5.1Ghz with 19.25MB L3 Cache.
- RX998i G3: 18 Cores, 5.0Ghz with 24.75MB L3 Cache.
Each server has a range of NICs, memory and networking options available to order. The RX993i G3 and the RX998i G3 include remote management options for IPMI with iKVM, or Redfish.
