FAQ’s
How do I get started?
- Create your free account instantly here.
- You’ll receive an email to confirm your account, hit that link and create a password.
- Log-in
- Create a bucket (we recommend you use the location nearest you, for example Sydney).
- Open the bucket, drag-and-drop or upload files!
- Install S3 Drive, map your bucket, and away you go!
What does it cost?
Reserved Capacity Accounts (RCA) start at 25TB, and in +5TB increments (eg. 30TB, 35TB, etc). A 25TB RCA for 1 year is $3500 AUD + GST (this is $11.67/TB/month).
Pay-as-you go accounts start at 5TB and $14.50/TB/month + GST.
For comparison, commonly AWS or Azure pricing for a similar S3 service is $50 USD/TB/month (approximately $75 AUD/TB/Month) … plus there are extra charges for API calls, taking data out (egress), bandwidth, etc … you pay monthly in arrears for what you have used so it’s very unpredictable.
With XENON Cloud Storage you know exactly what you are paying, and what you get.
Can I get a discount?
Lower prices per TB are available for 100+TB reserved capacity.
How much storage can I have in the Trial?
Initial trial accounts are 1TB for 30 days. You can request up to 5TB if you have a specific use-case you want to test.
Where is my data stored?
When you create a bucket for your objects, you choose which data centre you want to use. We recommend you choose the one closest to you physically for best performance (for example, Sydney for Australian and New Zealand customers).
Do I need to know programming or command line prompts to use the service?
No! The service is accessible through an easy to use web interface. To get started, create a bucket, then open the bucket and either drag-and-drop files, or browse and upload them.
Can I use other applications to move my data?
Wasabi supports over 250 third party applications for a variety of requirements (back-up, archive, data movement etc) – see the full list here.
For mapping your Wasabi bucket like a drive, we have tested and recommend S3 Drive from NSoftware (works on MacOS, Windows and Linux, and has a free version), download here. You can also use Cyberduck.
