Melbourne, Oct 29, 2013 – “…Fortunately the XENON people listened closely to our objectives and became interested in the concept of the Academy…”
“In planning the infrastructure for the Academy we knew that the quality of our visual work stations would be critical. The Academy’s goal is to prepare graduates to enter the interactive game industry with real-world, up-to-the minute skills. This meant obtaining cutting edge technology for them to train on.
At first when considering suppliers, we thought that XENON’s reputation in the top end of the 3D animation and graphics field may place them well beyond our scope. Fortunately the XENON people listened closely to our objectives and became interested in the concept of the Academy. They don’t just think in terms of boxes and components; they thought carefully over our unusual requirements and cabe back with a complete solution.
A solution that’s not only the latest technology, but is very robust and reliable, ideal characteristics for educational situation where hardware is punished daily by a variety of enthusiastic learners.
We’re confident that with this technology we can produce graduates with experience gained on the best gear you can buy.”
The AIE is the first educational facility in Melbourne specifically designed to train people in the creative graphic computer skills necessary to successfully enter the game development industry. XENON brought together Intel® and NVIDIA® to create a collaboration sponsorship for the Academy. XENON provided the solution with their Nitro visual workstation completed with Intel® Pentium® 4 3GHz processors and NVIDIA’s new Quadro FX 1100 professional graphics accelerators.
